Greenwood Village Home Remodel
The homeowners had lived in their home for several decades and the original master bedroom and bathroom were small. Their original master bath had a single vanity sink and the bedroom closet was tiny. Constructing a 10’ foot addition would provide the client with a larger bedroom, a proper size master bath and a walk-in closet. We designed all items to meet today’s residential standards and configurations.
The master bathroom received a full size Japanese style soaking tub, a large steam shower, and double vanity sinks. The vanities were suspended off the floor and under-cabinet lighting was added for a great look.
During the project design phase it was decided that the existing deck needed to be replaced. The addition allowed for the deck to be extended around the house and connect with the master bedroom. This was ideal because it permitted the homeowners to exit from their bedroom and on to the deck, which was not possible before. The original deck was recycled and a new redwood lumber from sustained forest was used to build the deck floors. The deck railing was made from composite material and wire cables were used for the horizontal spindles.
The bedroom floors were replaced with wide plank hardwood. A Heat-n-Glo Cosmo SLR fireplace was mounted off the floor with a flat screen TV hung above. The increased size of the master bedroom afforded the clients a sitting area where they could be near the fire place yet look out their bedroom windows to stunning mountain views.
