Southwestern Basement

This fun southwest style basement is the perfect hang out spot for all ages! A glass display case makes for an eye catching focal point as you enter the basement. The tray ceilings create room definition for both the bar and TV areas. Basements & Beyond installed decorative shelves in the wet bar to display the homeowners colorful collection of taps. A hutch furniture piece matches the built-in cabinets and holds glassware of all types to keep dust out. The wet bar features many under counter appliances including a microwave, dishwasher, and beverage center. The raised bar is a great way to separate the homeowners from their guests for easy hosting. Under counter brackets serve as both counter supports and contribute to the southwest decor. The archway towards the rear of the basement does a nice job of framing out a niche for the shuffleboard table. The archways are carried through to the TV area, where another arched recessed niche frames out the television. A built-in bench seat under the window is a great place to store extra pillows and blankets while providing overflow seating.  Another focal point in the space is the double sided fireplace wall, where arched black metal frames bring out even more of the southwest flare. The drink ledge creates a nice half wall backing for the red leather theater chairs, while creating bonus seating for TV watching and socializing. A display case was created within the drink ledge counter, which included a glass top and LED lights to show off the homeowners lure collection. Wall sconces were placed throughout the space to provide bonus lighting, as well as pendant lights over the bar. The basement bedroom and bathroom are great for out of town guests, allowing them to have some privacy within the home while visiting. The foosball table and kegerator were great add-ons to this southwest style basement.
