Sophisticated basement finish with golf simulator
This comprehensive basement transformation showcases B&B’s ability to create sophisticated, multi-functional living spaces that extend far beyond traditional finished basements. The project was for renowned Denver designer, Kate Jung, owner of Nobel Design Group, and this was her personal project. All the finishes and furniture were selected and sourced by Kate Jung.
The centerpiece of this project is a stunning custom wet bar featuring deep green shaker-style cabinetry, complemented by white subway tile backsplash and elegant glass floating shelves suspended by oil-rubbed bronze hardware. The space combines functionality with refined aesthetics—copper fixtures, dark countertops, and thoughtfully integrated storage create an entertaining area that rivals any upscale home bar.
Adjacent spaces demonstrate how modern basements can serve diverse lifestyle needs. A dedicated fitness area features professional-grade rubber flooring, mirrored walls for form checking, and ceiling-mounted equipment stations—bringing the gym experience home without sacrificing design quality.
The spa-inspired bathroom continues the refined approach with a frameless glass walk-in shower, neutral tile work in varying scales, built-in bench seating, dual shower fixtures, and a custom wood vanity with open shelving for both storage and display.
The renovation culminates in a state-of-the-art golf simulator room, complete with impact screen, professional turf, and ambient lighting—allowing year-round practice. For this project the basement floor was structurally lowered in this section.
This project exemplifies B&B’s commitment to transforming underutilized basement spaces into fully-integrated extensions of the home, where craftsmanship, functionality, and design excellence come together to enhance daily living.
