Knotty Alder Mountain Basement
This home is located in the Valley Heirloom neighborhood of Littleton, Colorado. Basements & Beyond updated this walkout basement to complement the rest of the home with its attention to detail. The double tray ceilings feature knotty alder crown molding which tie into the window casings, cabinetry and trim work. A beautiful stone wrapped fireplace steals the spotlight of the space, with a sleek stone mantel and flat screen television. Two columns on either side of the fireplace were a perfect place to mount sconces for mood lighting. A secondary television area was created with additional seating at the drink ledge with granite countertops and pendant lights above. The walk up wet bar features knotty alder glass front cabinets, an under counter beverage center, and matching granite countertops. A hidden bookcase door was created as an entryway into the unfinished storage room, which helped maintain the symmetry of the television wall. Fun features include a pool table and dartboard niche, along with a built-in window seat with a lift-up top for additional storage. The french glass doors and archway create a grand entrance into the guest bedroom and bathroom of the basement. The knotty alder cabinetry and granite countertops are carried through from the family which make for a beautiful vanity and shower bench cap in the ensuite bathroom. Frameless glass shower doors look seamless with contrasting matte black hardware.
